DIALOGUE /

The "Geological Theater", also known as "Villager Dialogue Collection", is a continuous creative and novel and theater performance project curated by the Huesio Geological Museum. It is also a record of dialogue between the residents, museum staff and visitors of  Huesio village. The novel is reference to how all the characters appearing in the work are all categorized and named simply as "villagers". The main scene/setting of the work is the "Sahel Round Table", in which "villagers" converse and interact openly around the round table. Through the dialogue format, villagers' thoughts and motivations are explained and elaborated upon. Topics of these dialogues include the interactions between one ' s self and others, one ' s self and the environment, and one ' s self and different social groups. At present, only a sample version of the novel is available for reading at the museum. A “Theater Recital” session based on the material is held from time to time in the "Mineral Room"[1] or "Classical Cave"[2]. For more information about the event, please find the latest information by following the Museum’s social media.

[1] The “Mineral Room” is the main display space of the Huesio Geological Museum, with collection items ranging from minerals, artwork, tools, to books and other documents.

[2] "Classical Cave" is an online collection retrieval system built by the Huoshaozhuang Geological Museum using the virtual office software Gather.town. It is jointly managed and collaboratively edited by a group of museum volunteers. Zhuang Geological Museum focuses on individual experience and the characteristics of non-material collections, and uses the existing "Private area" function in the software to cut the overall virtual space into a large number of private area squares, thereby inhibiting the active group of the software Call and video mechanism. The archaic version of "Ancient Typical Cave" designed in 2021 contains only one scene. The New Year's version of "Ancient Typical Cave" launched in January 2022 will be expanded to four scenes, and the "Private area" will be cut into 21500. This online system is currently only available for special events of the Museum.
